#3 and #7 are the most shocking for me! #3 was shocking for me maybe due to my misconception about the American society. I thought most of Americans follow a brand on social media:)
Whenever I see ads on FB I think who’s going to even look at them! Surprisingly not only people look at them but also 47% go ahead and buy them! I don’t know why but I have a bad feeling of mistrust of these ads!
Thank you for the reply! I have followed brands myself, but I’ve never bought anything through a Facebook ad, but I can tell you that they are getting pretty sophisticated with their marketing algorithms. Some of their suggestions are very spot on … but I’m still pretty leery of them, too. I’ve always attributed that to my age, since I’m from an “older” generation. =)
I have followed a few companies and corporations on Twitter, but not on Facebook. Primarily, these are firms I wouldn’t mind working for, and I like to keep up on what projects they’re working on, what products they’re releasing, etc.
I was a bit disheartened after reading #2, which comments on the decrease in interest in location-based social media. I love Foursquare and more and more of my friends are joining. However, the information presented here suggests that the platform is not doing well. Bummer!
Getting comments already? Nicely done, everyone!
